In 2025, Providence Falls: Chance of a Lifetime, made its debut. The feature-length movie, which aired on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s ‘Summer Nights’ collection, followed the story of two detectives partnered on a case, only one is secretly a reincarnated former love.

In the movie, Detective Cora McLeod is assigned a partner in visiting detective, Liam O’Conner. But what Cora doesn’t know is that Liam is a past love, here to change her fate.

When Providence Falls: Chance of a Lifetime was conceived, it was not intended to be one film. In fact,Chance of a Lifetime was merely the beginning of an expanding story, continued across multiple sequels.

Providence Falls: Chance of a Lifetime (2025)

As noted above, the first entry in the Providence Falls collection is Chance of a Lifetime. In this film, Cora, a new police detective, is partnered with visiting detective Liam on her first case, but Cora is unaware that Liam is her reincarnated love, on the scene to alter her fate.

Providence Falls: An Impossible Promise (2025)

The story continues in movie No. 2, An Impossible Promise. In this film, while Cora and Liam solve a murder, Liam pushes Cora toward DA Finn Walsh, her fated match, in order to change their destinies.

Providence Falls: Thief of Fate (2025)

And finally, the story concludes in movie No. 3, Thief of Fate. In this closing chapter, as Detectives Cora and Liam close in on their murder case, they rebel against the angels, deciding to take fate into their own hands.

Who are the cast of the Providence Falls movies and are the movies the work of the same director?

The key players in the Providence Falls movies are Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby, and Evan Roderick.

Katie Stevens has appeared in movies such as A Christmas Open House (2022), and Haunt (2019), as well as TV shows including Fantasy Island, CSI: Vegas, and Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings. In Providence Falls, she takes on the role of Cora McLeod.
