As the summer continues to sizzle, Hallmark has got you covered with something sweet to cool you down. Ice cream, you say? Why yes But this isn’t a single serve, we’re talking a Double Scoop! 

Landing on Hallmark Channel in August is the romantic drama, Double Scoop. The movie focuses on the lives of two characters, Nora and James, and their shared connection through ice cream.

Setting out the intriguing premise for the new movie, Hallmark, said: 

“Nora discovers the best ice cream and hopes to land them as a client. Her sweet dreams hit a snag when her former colleague James has the same idea. Old sparks begin to melt the frosty tension.”

Double Scoop stars Taylor Cole as Nora and Ryan McPartlin as James. Both are seasoned actors, keen to bring a sweet serving of romance to the summer season.

Regular Hallmark viewers will recognise Cole, as she has appeared in a number of Hallmark movies including Long Lost Christmas (2022), One Perfect Wedding (2021), and Pumpkin Everything (2022). The actress also starred in the very popular Ruby Herring Mysteries. 

Meanwhile, Ryan McPartlin has starred in movies including The Flight Before Christmas (2015), and The Holiday Fix Up (2021). On television, he’s guest starred in shows ranging from Mad Men, and Fuller House, to Hot in Cleveland, and CSI: NY, as well as a regular stint on Chuck.

Should you wish to take a look at Double Scoop, the new movie will debut on Hallmark Channel in the US on Saturday August 23rd as part of the network’s ‘Summer Nights’ collection. The film will air at 8/7c.
