As the summer hots up, Hallmark has announced this year’s line-up of titles for its sizzling ‘Summer Nights’ programming block. Amongst the collection are seven tantalising films, including an all-new three-picture event, Providence Falls, as well as another instalment in the Mystery Island series, and more.
Across the course of the six films, Hallmark fans should expect the usual blend of drama and romance. A plethora of entrancing stories are also on offer, to provide plenty of entertainment during the long hot nights.

First up, in Hallmark’s ‘Summer Nights’ collection is the Providence Falls trilogy. Based on the thrilling book series by best-selling authors Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets, the films star Katie Stevens and Lachlan Quarmby.
Setting out the premise of the films, Hallmark said: “In 1844 Ireland, Liam O’Conner (Quarmby), a rogue and a thief, falls in love with Cora McLeod (Stevens), a fiery but sheltered aristocrat’s daughter, who is promised in marriage to a man she barely knows. Their plan to make a new life together in America is thwarted, and the consequences of Liam and Cora’s unlikely love ripples through time, causing everyone to relive the events of the past.
“Now the Angels of Destiny need Liam’s help to set things right and if he doesn’t succeed, his very soul is on the line. They transport Liam to present day to help this incarnation of Cora fall in love with Finn (Evan Roderick), the man she was destined to marry in 1844.
“Liam would give anything to reunite with his beloved Cora but only he retains the memories of their past together. Now a cop in Providence Falls, Oregon, Cora feels an inexplicable connection to Liam, who is introduced as her new partner. And as they tackle a big case together, Liam sees the same passion and adventurous nature in Cora that he had fallen in love with.
“With everyone’s lives at stake, Liam must overcome unexpected and otherworldly obstacles in his mission. Perhaps none as powerful as his own undying love for Cora.”
The Providence Falls trilogy will be told over the course of three Saturday nights, beginning with Chance of a Lifetime, continuing with An Impossible Promise, and concluding with Thief of Fate.

Slotted in between the Providence Falls trilogy, will be a Sunday night screening of an Aurora Teagarden Mysteries movie. The film is Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Death at the Diner, which sees Aurora’s boss bumped off and her boyfriend becoming the primary suspect!
And then, following the conclusion of Providence Falls, Hallmark moves over to the Mystery Island series for another Sunday night movie: Mystery Island: Play for Keeps. In this film, “old feelings become complicated, tensions run high, and allegations arise when a guest is found dead” as the Island hosts a corporate retreat.
And then following Mystery Island: Play for Keeps, it’s back to Saturdays for the final two films in the ‘Summer Nights’ series. The first is Double Scoop, while the second is Catch of the Day.
In Double Scoop, old sparks fly, and frosty tensions begin to melt, in a story involving ice cream. Meanwhile, in Catch of the Day, a soon-to-be executive chef returns home to help out at her family’s flailing restaurant, only to bump into an old crush who makes her reevaluate a few things.
