Listen up, mystery fans, because Hallmark has announced another new mystery movie is on the horizon. And you’ll be even more pleased to know it’s the latest instalment in an existing (and popular) series.

The new film is Mystery Island: Play for Keeps. The film – which stars Elizabeth Henstridge and Charlie Weber – continues the story of Emilia and Jason, as they find themselves with another perplexing problem to tackle.

The situation this time around? The discovery of a dead guest!

Describing the premise of Mystery Island: Play for Keeps, Hallmark said:

“Mystery Island hosts a corporate retreat with a guest being Emilia’s ex-fiancé. Old feelings become complicated, tensions run high, and allegations arise when a guest is found dead.”

Mystery Island: Play for Keeps follows hot on the heels of a number of new mystery movies from Hallmark, including Reality Bites: A Hannah Swensen Mystery which debuted in February, and Mystery Island: Winner Takes All which arrived in March. The network also has plans for many more mysteries, with additional films in the Curious Caterer series in development.

Meanwhile, for now, should you wish to check out Mystery Island: Play for Keeps, the movie will debut on Hallmark Mystery on Thursday June 5th. The film will air at 8/7c.
