In 2025, To Barcelona, with Love debuted on Hallmark Channel. The movie – which aired as part of Hallmark’s ‘Passport to Love‘ programming block – focused on an ex-pat American named Erica, who lives in Barcelona, and translates books into Spanish.

However, Erica has a secret. When she translates the books, she makes amendments, improving them along the way… but without the author’s permission.

To Barcelona, with Love (2025)

The first entry in the To Barcelona… movie series is To Barcelona, With Love. In this film, Erica is an American expat living in Barcelona, translating novels into Spanish, with some amendments.

One of the books Erica translates is Barcelona, Mi Amor. But when the translated and amended book becomes a huge hit, it draws the book’s author, Anna to Barcelona for a book signing.

Anna’s arrival not only catches the attention of local bookstore owner Nico, but also threatens to expose Erica’s secret – that she improved the story by making adjustments during the translation!

To Barcelona, Forever (2025)

The second entry in the To Barcelona… movie series is To Barcelona, Forever. This film picks up the story five months later, as Erica and Anna embark on a new chapter, which sees them travel outside of Barcelona to a charming village.
