In 1993, Sniper shot its way into cinemas. The action movie, from director Luis Llosa, starred Tom Berenger and Billy Zane, and followed the story of two snipers who are sent on an assassination mission in Panama.

Although Sniper received mixed reviews upon release, the film developed a cult following and was soon accompanied by a string of direct-to-video sequels. These sequels continued to expand the story, and became popular in their own right.

As noted above, the first entry in the Sniper movie series made its debut in 1993. The film focused on two snipers, Master Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Beckett and Richard Miller, who are sent on a mission to assassinate a Panamanian General. (99 mins)

Sniper 2 (2002)

The second entry in the Sniper series went direct-to-DVD in 2002. In this film, Thomas Beckett and Jake Cole are sent on a mission to assassinate a Serbian general. (91 mins)
