In 2016, the TV movie, The Wrong Roommate aired on Lifetime. The mystery thriller, written by Matthew Jason Walsh and directed by David DeCoteau, starred Vivica A. Fox, Jessica Morris, and Jason-Shane Scott, and focused on a college professor, as well as a mysterious stranger with a troubled past.

In the movie, a young college professor moves into her sister’s home following a break-up with her fiancé. Unbeknown to her, a tenant is living in the guest house, and has become very friendly with her niece.
