As noted above, the first entry in the Hannah Swensen movie series made its debut in 2015. When the series began, the films ran under the banner title, ‘Murder, She Baked‘.

This first offering, Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery, introduced Hannah Swensen, as played by Alison Sweeney. In the film Hannah is shown to be a creative baker, living and working in Lake Eden, Minnesota, where everyone knows each other, and secrets don’t remain secret for long.

But Hannah’s life is soon turned upside down when her good friend is shot dead behind her shop. This prompts her into action, determined to crack the case.

Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery (2015)

In movie number two, Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery, the holiday season has arrived and Hannah is busy making plum pudding. However, the puddings are put on the backburner when Hannah gets involved in solving another murder case.

Murder, She Baked: A Peach Cobbler Mystery (2016)

Following the success of the first two Hannah Swensen movies, a third film, Murder, She Baked: A Peach Cobbler Mystery made its debut in 2016. This film focused on the arrival of a rival bakery business, and the death of its owner.

Murder, She Baked: A Deadly Recipe (2016)

In movie number four, Murder, She Baked: A Deadly Recipe, there’s another murder! This time Sheriff Grant is the victim, a deputy is accused, and a killer runs free.

To make matters worse, Hannah’s brother-in-law is accused of the murder. Can Hannah get to the bottom of this crime before it’s too late?

Murder, She Baked: Just Desserts (2017)

A fifth movie arrived in 2017 under the title Murder, She Baked: Just Desserts. In this movie, Hannah has to solve the murder of Leonard Bishop – a judge at the Eden Lake Dessert Bake-Off.

Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2021)

Four years passed before the next movie arrived. When it did, the series underwent a name change.

The ‘Murder, She Baked‘ title was dropped and moving forward, the Hannah Swensen movies ran under the banner title, ‘A Hannah Swensen Mystery‘. The first entry under this name was 2021’s Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. In this movie, Hannah investigates a murder at a 24-hour gym.

Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2023)

In movie number seven, Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, there’s yet another murder! A skeleton in an old building sparks an investigation.

A Zest for Death: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2023)

In movie number eight, Hannah and her mother, Delores, are out house-hunting when they discover the dead body of the homeowner. Hannah is determined to solve the case, and is convinced the authorities are focused on the wrong suspect.

One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2024)

Movie number nine arrived in 2024 under the title, One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. In this film, Hannah investigates a murder and crosses paths with a no-nonsense prosecuting attorney named Chad Norton.
