This first offering, Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery, introduced Hannah Swensen, as played by Alison Sweeney. In the film Hannah is shown to be a creative baker, living and working in Lake Eden, Minnesota, where everyone knows each other, and secrets don’t remain secret for long.
But Hannah’s life is soon turned upside down when her good friend is shot dead behind her shop. This prompts her into action, determined to crack the case.

In movie number two, Murder, She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery, the holiday season has arrived and Hannah is busy making plum pudding. However, the puddings are put on the backburner when Hannah gets involved in solving another murder case.
Murder, She Baked: A Peach Cobbler Mystery (2016)
Following the success of the first two Hannah Swensen movies, a third film, Murder, She Baked: A Peach Cobbler Mystery made its debut in 2016. This film focused on the arrival of a rival bakery business, and the death of its owner.
Murder, She Baked: A Deadly Recipe (2016)
In movie number four, Murder, She Baked: A Deadly Recipe, there’s another murder! This time Sheriff Grant is the victim, a deputy is accused, and a killer runs free.
To make matters worse, Hannah’s brother-in-law is accused of the murder. Can Hannah get to the bottom of this crime before it’s too late?
Murder, She Baked: Just Desserts (2017)
A fifth movie arrived in 2017 under the title Murder, She Baked: Just Desserts. In this movie, Hannah has to solve the murder of Leonard Bishop – a judge at the Eden Lake Dessert Bake-Off.
Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2021)
Four years passed before the next movie arrived. When it did, the series underwent a name change.
The ‘Murder, She Baked‘ title was dropped and moving forward, the Hannah Swensen movies ran under the banner title, ‘A Hannah Swensen Mystery‘. The first entry under this name was 2021’s Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. In this movie, Hannah investigates a murder at a 24-hour gym.
Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2023)
In movie number seven, Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, there’s yet another murder! A skeleton in an old building sparks an investigation.
A Zest for Death: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2023)
In movie number eight, Hannah and her mother, Delores, are out house-hunting when they discover the dead body of the homeowner. Hannah is determined to solve the case, and is convinced the authorities are focused on the wrong suspect.
One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2024)
Movie number nine arrived in 2024 under the title, One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. In this film, Hannah investigates a murder and crosses paths with a no-nonsense prosecuting attorney named Chad Norton.
A Sprinkle of Deceit: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2024)
In movie ten, A Sprinkle of Deceit: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, Hannah and Chad attempt to solve the same murder, while working to clear a colleague who is implicated in the crime.
Reality Bites: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2025)
In movie eleven, Hannah’s favourite reality show takes over her bakery, The Cookie Jar. But when the producer is found dead, Hannah is back on another murder case!
Pie to Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery (2025)

I saw three of them a few years ago and loved them, then I couldn’t find them . Until a couple of days ago I recorded the series.
I just wondered how many were made I loved Allison on days and was very disappointed when she left. Then a year or so ago when the writers on days went completely crazy with the script I quit watching it when they let go all of my favorite actors and haven’t watched it since . I would love to see her in a prime time mystery series.

I love all the murder she baked movie. All the cast are great and the dialogue interactions are very real and believable. However the newest episode disappointed me. With a added little sister and not having the original sister. It should have the same cast and no new add on’s.

I get where you’re coming from. On the other hand, from what I read in the book series Hannah always had 2 sisters, one older and one younger. The movies were a bit different from the books. Again I haven’t ALL the books but a handful. Another fact (IF I recall rightly) is that Hannah and Mike never got married. Becasue in one of the books Hannah and a few others went out of town for Hannah’s widow mom’s wedding. While out of town she runs into an old classmate from college. The existing movies haven’t included that, so we’ll have to wait and see if any new movies are announced to see if they do or not.

I agree, I liked the original sister & husband!!
Also I want Mike & Hannah to get married, if they don’t I’ll stop watching them & I really like the movies!! They are sweet without being sugary & Mike(Mr Mathison) is so adorable the way he gets flustered with Hannah!!!
If they care about the fans they will get back to the original actors! And keep the stories as they are!!
