In 2022, popular children’s character, Winnie-the-Pooh entered the public domain. With the character now available to be included in new projects without too many rights issues or restrictions, filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield began work on a horror movie centred around the iconic bear.
The movie – titled Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey – was released the following year, where it was a surprise financial success. As such, a sequel soon followed, as did various spin-off films, all featuring other iconic childhood characters.
All of the films were produced as low-budget horrors existing in the same shared universe. This universe became known as the Twisted Childhood Universe.
But how many Twisted Childhood Universe movies are there? For all the details, keep reading.

The Twisted Childhood Universe

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
As noted above, the first entry in the Twisted Childhood Universe is 2023’s Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey. The film followed the story of Christopher Robin, and a group of university students, as they become the target of the murderous Pooh and Piglet.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (2024)
Although Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey was not a critical hit, the film was a commercial success. Budgeted at $100,000 it went on to make over $7.7 million which guaranteed a sequel.
The sequel – Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 – debuted in 2024. As with its predecessor, the film saw Pooh embark on another bloodthirsty rampage.
Produced on a budget of $500,000, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 was yet another commercial success, paving the way for more films. However, rather than jump straight to another Pooh sequel, for the next entry the series expanded to include other fictional characters.

Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare (2025)
Movie number three arrived in 2025 under the title Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare. In this movie, Wendy Darling sets out on a quest to find her brother who has been abducted by Peter Pan.
Bambi: The Reckoning (2025)
The fourth movie in the Twisted Childhood Universe also arrived in 2025, titled Bambi: The Reckoning. In this movie, Xana and her son Benji are hunted by Bambi, following the death of his own mother.
Pinocchio: Unstrung (2025)
For movie number five the focus switched to Pinocchio, via the film Pinocchio: Unstrung. In this movie, the doll embarks on a crusade to eliminate all things bad.
