In 2014, the fantasy adventure movie, Mythica: A Quest for Heroes made its debut. The direct-to-video film, which was partially funded through a Kickstarter campaign, followed the story of a young heroine named Marek (played by Melanie Stone) who sets out on an important quest.
Following the release of A Quest for Heroes, further movies were produced. The sequels continued Marek’s story, introducing new characters along the way.

Mythica: A Quest for Heroes (2014)
The first entry in the Mythica movie series is A Quest for Heroes. The film follows the story of slave girl and aspiring magician, Marek.
During the course of the movie, Marek gathers together an unlikely group to embark on a quest to find a mysterious stone. The group consists of priestess Teela, warrior Thane, and half-elf thief, Dagen.
Mythica: The Darkspore (2015)
The second entry in the Mythica movie series is The Darkspore, which picks up the story immediately after the events of A Quest for Heroes. Once again, Marek’s band of heroes head out on a quest, this time to prevent the villainous necromancer, Szorlok from obtaining all the shards of the Darkspore.
Mythica: The Necromancer (2015)
Entry number three is The Necromancer. In this film, Marek is beginning to master more advanced magic, while laying low from the clutches of Szorlok (who has two pieces of the Darkspore). Meanwhile, Marek’s group have adopted the name of Red Thorns.
Mythica: The Iron Crown (2016)
The fourth instalment in the movie series is The Iron Crown. In this film Marek steals the final piece of the Darkspore and embarks on a quest to deliver the artefact to the gods.
Mythica: The Godslayer (2016)
In movie five, The Godslayer (aka The Dragon Slayer in the UK), Marek and Dagen seek out a weapon from the gods, as the Lich King’s zombie horde ravages the world.
Mythica: Stormbound (2024)
And finally, the sixth movie is Stormbound. In this film, a new evil threatens the world.
