When it comes to naming films and making puns, there is no one quite like Hallmark. The network regularly takes existing titles or well-known phrases, adjusts them slightly, and gives them a new lease of life.

For example, the 1940 screwball comedy, His Girl Friday and the 1995 rom-com, While You Were Sleeping inspired the titles of the 2014 Hallmark movie, My Gal Sunday and 2017’s While You Were Dating. Similarly, names and phrases such as ‘tidal wave’ and ‘mismatch’ inspired 2015’s Bridal Wave and 2016’s Ms. Matched.
