In 2024, a collection of romantic movies debuted on Hallmark+ under the banner title, ‘Love on the Danube‘. The movies were advertised around stories set at ‘one unforgettable destination’, with the Danube playing a key role in the films.

All of the films told self-contained tales, revolving around new characters. What connected the movies was the location and the themes of love and romance.

The order of the Love on the Danube movies

Love on the Danube: Love Song (2024)

While travelling on a European Riverboat cruise with her mother, Sarah meets Jack. Jack is travelling with his father, and after spending time together Sarah and Jack form a connection – and so do their parents!

Sarah and Jack then spend time trying to get their parents to meet up for dates, all the while falling in love themselves. Upon realising their own connection, Sarah and Jack decide to pursue their romance.

Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway (2024)

In an attempt to get over her cancelled wedding, art gallery manager, Ava, takes her honeymoon riverboat cruise alone. On the trip she meets Joe, a handsome fellow passenger that she finds intriguing, but who is secretly a prince.

Joe boarded the cruise in search of some art for an upcoming charity gala auction and to take time to decide if he really wants to be king. He plans to keep his true identity a secret, but a potential romance with Ava could put paid to those plans.

Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars (2024)

In the third movie, Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars, PR professional, Savannah, is invited to join a riverboat cruise to work with the talent at a rom-com convention. Here she meets Tripp – an actor struggling with his fans and fame.

Savannah works with Tripp during the cruise to improve his public persona. But the more time they spend time together, the more they begin to fall for each other.
