Get ready to put on your best suit and dust off your smart shoes, because Hallmark has announced the forthcoming arrival of not one, but three wedding-themed movies! The films – better known as The Groomsmen trilogy – will be making their debut in Fall 2024, and according to Hallmark promise a “hilarious and heart-warming adventure of life, love and matrimony told from the male perspective.

The three films are as follows:

  • The Groomsmen First Look (2024)
  • The Groomsmen Second Chances (2024)
  • The Groomsmen Last Dance (2024)

The movies are described as romantic comedies, and star Jonathan Bennett (Christmas on Cherry Lane), Tyler Hynes (Three Wise Men and a Baby), and B.J. Britt (The Holiday Stocking).

Hallmark promises the trilogy will take “viewers on the journey of a lifetime as three best friends come together to celebrate their wedding days in the breath-taking destinations of Greece, Italy and Bulgaria.” The films will be led by baseball coach Danny (Bennett), social media agent Jackson (Hynes), and paediatrician Pete (Britt).

Commenting on the new movies, Philicia Kennedy-Flamer, Manager, Programming, Hallmark Media, said: “We can’t wait for viewers to come along on these romantic journeys in new and fresh ways as we tell this story from the groom’s side for the first time ever.

“Jonathan, Tyler and B.J. are a dream team. Their performances are infused with a humour and warmth that brings these stories to life beyond our expectations and created something truly special.”

The Groomsmen trilogy is produced by Groomsmen Road Productions Ltd, with Jonathan Bennett, Tyler Hynes and Ryan M. Murphy on board as executive producers, and Allen Lewis, Ron Oliver and Marnie Young as co-executive producers. Kristina Kambitova and Phillip Roth are supervising producers, Charles Cooper is producer, and Ron Oliver directs.

The arrival of the film trilogy will also coincide with a wealth of new movies and television shows for Hallmark. In addition to The Groomsmen trilogy, the network has also announced Holidazed, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, and various television shows including Finding Mr. Christmas; Celebrations with Lacey Chabert; Small Town Setup; and Ready, Set, Glow!
