What is Hallmark’s Savoring Paris?

The sun is shining, love is in the air, and Hallmark has announced a new romantic movie. The film – titled Savoring Paris – makes its debut this June, and features a cast which includes Bethany Joy Lenz, Stanley Weber, Lucy Newman-Williams, Manon Azem, and Ben Wiggins.

Shot partially on location in Paris, France, Savoring Paris promises to be a Parisian adventure, “filled with fashion, fromage and romance.” The film is part of Hallmark Channel’s ‘Passport to Love’ programming block, and is based on Victoria Brownlee’s book, Fromage À Trois.

Providing a summary of the new movie, Hallmark said: Ella (Lenz) is a burned out exec at an American food chain who realises the happiest time of her life was during a trip to Paris after college. Dreaming of the best cheese she ever had and ready to start fresh, Ella quits her job and jets off to the City of Lights to recapture that feeling and rejuvenate as she considers what’s next.

“Free from a job that made her unhappy and away from her well-meaning mom (Newman-Williams), who always urges her to make safe and practical life choices, Ella embraces her newfound joie de vivre. While there, Ella is swept into a social life courtesy of her charming landlord and new friend Clotilde (Azem) and soon finds herself being courted by Clotilde’s cousin Gaston (Wiggins), a dashing local.

“Meanwhile, Ella begins to forge a friendship – or possibly more – with Serge (Weber), the prickly proprietor of the local fromagerie as she navigates this new chapter in her life. But just as she decides what she wants in life – and who she wants to be with – cultural differences put those plans in question.”

Savoring Paris is a Hallmark Media production, with Amanda Morgan Palmer and Samantha Sprecher on board as executive producers. Kristin Kambitova, Jeffery Beach and Phillip J. Roth are producers on the new film, while Sufo Evtimov is line producer.

Clare Niederpruem directs. The teleplay comes from Joie Botkin.

Should you wish to check out the new movie, you won’t have long to wait, Savoring Paris arrives on Hallmark Channel on Saturday June 8th. The movie will debut at 8pm ET/PT.
