In 2014, British-American actress, Anya Taylor-Joy made her movie debut in the action-fantasy-comedy, Vampire Academy. Taylor-Joy popped up briefly in an uncredited role, and while it wasn’t a huge part, it was the beginning of her film journey.
The following year, Anya Taylor-Joy’s career came on leaps and bounds when she appeared in the atmospheric horror movie, The Witch. For this film, the actress took on the role of lead character, Thomasin – a young girl who finds herself at the centre of a supernatural story – and it caught the attention of audiences, directors, and casting directors.
From here, Taylor-Joy appeared in a succession of movies, including notable pictures such as Barry, Split, and Glass. She also provided vocal duties in animated films such as Playmobil: The Movie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Moving into the 2020s, and Anya Taylor-Joy kick-started the decade playing the role of Emma Woodhouse in Emma. Shortly after, she appeared in the X-Men spin-off movie, The New Mutants, before taking roles in Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho and Robert Eggers’ The Northman.
Other roles in this decade included The Menu, Dune: Part Two, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
