In 2019, Scottish writer William Meikle published a short supernatural story in the novella, The Copycat Murders. The story focused on a detective on the trail of a serial killer who is hunting newsreaders.
Upon release, The Copycat Murders was a hit and was quickly followed by Green Door, another novella which offered readers a jaunt into the supernatural realm. This book was then followed by The Weird West, A Ghostly Trio, and Tales of the Death.
This series of books, along with the many, many more that would follow, were collectively known as the William Meikle Chapbook Collection. This collection of books offered up short stories to engage with and intrigue, and would become very popular.
