In 2001, the US satirical comedy, Wet Hot American Summer made its debut. Set in 1981, at a fictional summer camp, the movie was a spoof of sex comedies and featured a cast which included Paul Rudd, David Hyde Pierce, Amy Poehler, and Bradley Cooper.

However, despite the talent involved with the movie, Wet Hot American Summer was neither a critical or commercial hit. The film flopped at the box-office, in spectacular style, and quickly fell by the wayside.

But over time, Wet Hot American Summer found its audience and developed a cult following. As a result, it was soon accompanied by a documentary movie looking back at the original film, as well as two Netflix mini-series.

But if you’re new to Wet Hot American Summer, you may be wondering what are the movies, what are the mini-series, and what is the correct viewing order of the franchise. For all those details, keep reading.
