In 2018, post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror movie, A Quiet Place, creeped into cinemas. The movie – directed and co-written by John Krasinski – told the story of a young family who are attempting to stay alive in a world ravaged by extra-terrestrials.

In the film, Earth has been overtaken by aliens who have killed most of the human population. The aliens have incredible hearing, as well as impenetrable armour, and the combination of the two has proved deadly for humanity.

The only known weakness the aliens have is their inability to see. This has helped some humans to stay alive, including husband and wife duo, Lee and Evelyn Abbott, as well as their children.

Using sign language to communicate, and keeping all noise to a minimum, the Abbott family do their best to remain safe. However, nothing runs smoothly, and the Abbott’s soon find themselves becoming a target.

Released to critical acclaim, as well as positive response from audiences and a healthy box-office, A Quiet Place was a big hit back in 2018. The film took over $341 million at the worldwide box-office, from a budget of $17 million, and this quickly made it one of the most successful horror movies of the year.

Due to the popularity of the film, Paramount Pictures (the studio behind the movie) green lit a sequel. This in turn was well-received, and this guaranteed further movies in the series.

But how many A Quiet Place movies are there, and what is the order of the films? For all those details and more, keep quiet… and keep reading.
