Fear Street – Part One: 1994 (2021)

As noted above, the first entry in the Fear Street movie series was Fear Street – Part One: 1994. The movie followed the story of a group of teenagers, led by Deena Johnson, who find themselves battling an evil force which is plaguing their home town of Shadyside.

The force is connected to Sarah Fier – a supposed witch who placed a curse on the town before she was executed in 1666. This curse appears to have unleashed a collection of masked serial killers, who are seemingly unstoppable and out for blood.

Originally set for a theatrical release, before being pulled from the schedules due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fear Street – Part One: 1994 was released directly onto Netflix instead. The film debuted on July 2nd 2021, where it was a hit with streamers.

Fear Street – Part Two: 1978 (2021)

A week after the release of Fear Street – Part One, a direct follow-up, Fear Street – Part Two made its debut on Netflix. Picking up the story from its predecessor, Part Two rewound the clock to 1978 to fill in some important backstory about the witch’s curse, as well as its connection to a murder spree taking place at Camp Nightwing.

Fear Street – Part Three: 1666 (2021)

Debuting on Netflix a week after Fear Street – Part Two: 1978, the final instalment in the Fear Street trilogy arrived on the streaming service under the title, Fear Street – Part Three: 1666. This film pushed the story back even further in time, to cover details about Sarah Fier’s life, while shining some important light on the supposed curse.

Fear Street 1988: The Prom Queen (2024)

Following the success of the Fear Street trilogy, Netflix announced the development of a fourth film. This movie would break away from the first three films and would instead be an adaptation of the R. L. Stine novel, The Prom Queen.
