In 2012, US comedy series, Jessie aired the episode ‘The Whining’. The episode was a Halloween-themed instalment of the popular sitcom, and focused on some trick-or-treat antics taking place on the 13th floor of the apartment building where lead characters, the Ross family reside.
The episode was the first entry in the show’s second season, and as it aired in October it was conceived as a seasonal offering, to provide Jessie with some Halloween content to launch the new season. The episode worked its charm, and as a result more Halloween instalments soon followed in later seasons.
