A new romantic movie is heading to Hallmark this fall/autumn. The film – which was partially shot in Venice, Italy – is called A Very Venice Romance and stars Stephanie Leonidas and Raniero Monaco Di Lapio.
A Very Venice Romance follows the story of a New York City business executive called Amy, and an Italian chef called Marcello who don’t see eye-to-eye. However, over time they slowly open up to one another, leading to something special.
According to Hallmark, “Amy (Leonidas) is a New York City executive that has been trying to launch health-forward deliverable meal prep kits with supplements. She needs to find a chef to help guide the venture and sets her sights on Italian Chef Marcello (Monaco Di Lapio).
“Marcello declines to hear Amy’s offer, so the never-deterred Amy travels to Venice, Italy and signs up for his advanced cooking course hoping to make her case in person. While there, she meets an assortment of charming and quirky tourists as they learn to cook and travel the island.
“Marcello introduces Amy to the slow-paced pleasures of Italy and shows her how the kits can be healthy by using fresh ingredients, not supplements. Amy’s boss isn’t convinced, and Amy risks losing her job if she doesn’t stay on-brand.
“Will Amy follow her instincts and her heart, or will she stay quiet to keep her job?”
Directed by Liz Farrer, from a script by Alex Wright, A Very Venice Romance is a Hallmark Media production. Jeff Beach, Philip Roth, and Kristina Kambitova are producers, Sufo Evtimov is line producer, and Beth Miller is executive producer.
Should you want to check out the movie for yourself, A Very Venice Romance makes its debut on Saturday September 30th. The film will air in the US on the Hallmark Channel at 8pm ET/PT, as part of Hallmark’s Fall into Love programming event.
