In 2014, British crime-solving comedy-drama, Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death, aired in the UK via Sky One. The television film – based on M. C. Beaton’s book of the same name – followed the story of public relations professional, Agatha Raisin, who quits the rat-race in London to move to the idyllic village of Carsley, only to find herself becoming the prime suspect in a murder case.
Due to popularity of this TV movie, which starred Ashley Jensen in the lead role, Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death was soon followed by an Agatha Raisin television series. This series was also popular with audiences, leading to multiple seasons and a Christmas special.
But if you’re not familiar with Agatha Raisin you might be asking yourself how many seasons are there, how many episodes are available to watch, and what is the order?! Well, don’t worry, because I am providing you with all those answers in one easily accessible post.

Understanding Agatha Raisin
As noted above, Agatha Raisin began in 2014 with the movie, Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death. This television film was broadcast on Sky One, introduced Raisin to audiences, and proved there was plenty of scope for more stories with the character.
Two years later, Raisin then returned for an eight-episode series, which also aired on Sky. Each episode ran for 45-minutes, and expanded Raisin’s stories while featuring various new murder mysterious.
Following the broadcast of that first season, Acorn TV then picked up the show for Season Two, which this time comprised three episodes. However, while the episode count dropped between seasons, each instalment now ran to 90-minutes rather than 45.
This second season proved to be a hit for the channel, and soon a third season of four episodes followed. This in turn was accompanied by a Christmas special, which aired in December 2021, followed by three additional episodes which made up Season Four of the show.
