In 1989, Adam Sandler made his film debut in the movie, Going Overboard. From here he followed up his film acting work with appearances in films such as The Dog Police, Shakes the Clown, and Coneheads.

To begin with, his on-screen roles were small parts, which is true of any actor in show business, but soon his star status grew as audiences began to connect with Sandler. This in turn increased his presence on the big screen, and propelled his career toward the star he would eventually become.

Over the years, Sandler has appeared in a number of high-profile pictures, including 50 First Dates, Uncut Gems, and Spanglish. He has also provided his voice to the animated movies series, Hotel Transylvania.
