In 1986, video games characters, Mario and Luigi (better known as the Super Mario Bros.) made the leap from the gaming world into the movie world, via the animated feature film, Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach!. The Japanese movie, directed by Masami Hata, followed the two siblings as they set out to rescue Princess Peach from the clutches of the evil King Koopa!
