Since 1995, Disney-Pixar has been releasing a string of exciting, inventive, creative, and imaginative movies. From Toy Story and Inside Out, to The Incredibles and Onward, the movies have pushed the envelope for animated features and have built up a strong following, and a fantastic critical reception in the process.
Today I am taking a look at all of the movies in the Disney-Pixar collection, presenting a run-through of all the hit movies in the order they were released. This guide will show you what you need to watch, and what you may have missed out on, if you are currently playing catch-up on the Pixar movie collection.
Before I highlight each individual movie, below you will find a simple list of the entire feature-length Disney-Pixar collection so you have it to hand. So, if you want to work your way through the Disney-Pixar movies, then follow the list!

A list of every Disney-Pixar movies
1) Toy Story (1995)
First out of the gate is Toy Story – the much-loved fantasy movie about a collection of toys that come to life when their owner, Andy, is not in the room. The film features a huge collection of iconic characters, from Buzz and Woody, to Slinky and Mr. Potato Head and is as fun now as it was back in 1995.

2) A Bug’s Life (1998)
Sometimes overlooked (possibly because it is sandwiched between two Toy Story movies), A Bug’s Life is a real gem in the Pixar collection. The movie follows the story of a group of bugs who take on a mean gang of locusts, in a rip-roaring adventure guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

3) Toy Story 2 (1999)
Woody, Buzz, and the gang are back in a hilarious tale which is just as much fun as the first film. Toy Story 2 continues the adventure, with the group finding themselves up against a cantankerous toy and an unscrupulous collector.

4) Monsters, Inc. (2001)
Every night, monsters go into the bedrooms of children, scare them, then collect their screams. No, this isn’t a horror movie, this is just one element of the hilarious movie, Monsters, Inc. – a fabulous and heart-warming tale featuring a cast that includes Billy Crystal and John Goodman.

5) Finding Nemo (2003)
In Finding Nemo, an overprotective clownfish teams up with a regal blue tang (with memory problems), to search the ocean for his missing son. The movie is filled with fantastic imagery, as well as jokes-a-plenty, and is one of Pixar’s all-time greats.

6) The Incredibles (2004)
To the untrained eye, the Parrs look like a run-of-the-mill, ordinary family, but to those in the know, they are The Incredibles – a team of super heroes! Brad Bird directs, while Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and Samuel L. Jackson provide vocal duties in this enjoyable animated action movie.

7) Cars (2006)
Owen Wilson, Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, and Cheech Marin are amongst the cast for Cars – a high-speed action comedy, about talking motor vehicles. The film follows the story of Lightning McQueen, as well as Doc Hudson, Mater, and Sally Carrera.

8) Ratatouille (2007)
In Ratatouille, Remy the rat takes his first steps to being the chef he has always dreamed of becoming. Brad Bird directs, while the cast includes Patton Oswalt, Ian Holm, Will Arnett, and Janeane Garofalo.

9) WALL-E (2008)
In the future, the Earth has become unhabitable, except for Wall-E – a loveable, but solitary robot. Wall-E’s job is to clean up the planet, in what appears to be a fruitless exercise, in this beautiful sci-fi love story from director Andrew Stanton.

10) Up (2009)
Directed by Pete Docter, and featuring the voices of Ed Asner, Christopher Plummer, and Jordan Nagai, Up tells the story of retired man and a young ‘Wilderness Explorer’ who set out on the adventure of a life-time. Often regarded as one of the best animated movies of all time, Up is a joy to watch.

11) Toy Story 3 (2010)
The Toy Story gang return for a third adventure, which this time forces them to face up to the reality that Andy has outgrown his need for toys. Guaranteed to bring a lump to the throat, Toy Story 3 is an emotional rollercoaster ride, packed with heart.

12) Cars 2 (2011)
Michael Caine and Emily Mortimer join Owen Wilson for Cars 2 – the follow-up to 2006’s Cars. In this movie, Lightning McQueen and Mater set out to compete in the World Grand Prix, but along the way they get a caught up in some international espionage.

13) Brave (2012)
Set in Medieval Scotland, Brave follows the adventures of Princess Merida – a headstrong young girl, who is betrothed to be married. But Merida has other ideas in this spirited fantasy movie from directors Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman.

14) Monsters University (2013)
Set before the events of 2001’s Monsters, Inc., Monsters University follows Mike Wazowksi and James P. Sullivan during their university years. The film reunites Billy Crystal and John Goodman, while Dan Scanlon is on directing duties.

15) Inside Out (2015)
Set in the mind of young girl, Inside Out is an imaginative story about the complex emotions which exist in the human body. The film features the voice talents of Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kailing, and Phyllis Smith.

16) The Good Dinosaur (2015)
An Apatosaurus and a young boy form a friendship in this delightful animated fantasy from director Peter Sohn. The Good Dinosaur often gets overlooked, but is worth revisiting at every opportunity.

17) Finding Dory (2016)
In this sequel to Finding Nemo, the focus is placed on Dory, as the forgetful fish sets out on a journey to find her parents. Ellen DeGeneres reprises the role of Dory, while Albert Brooks, Hayden Rolence, Ty Burrell, Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy round out the cast.

18) Cars 3 (2017)
Lightning McQueen returns for a third adventure, this time hitting the road to prove that he is still the world’s best race car. Brian Fee directs, while Owen Wilson continues to lead the voice cast.

19) Coco (2017)
In Coco, a young boy named Miguel, who accidentally visits the Land of the Dead, seeks assistance from his late great-great-grandfather, to help him return to the land of the living. Coco is packed with wonderful imagery, has an incredibly emotive song in ‘Remember Me’, and is another fine example of Pixar delivering a beautiful and touching story.

20) Incredibles 2 (2018)
In this sequel to The Incredibles, the Parr family suit up once again to fight evil, while battling the day-to-day challenges of home life. The music contains the same mix of heart and humour as its predecessor, with Brad Bird back on writer/director duties.

21) Toy Story 4 (2019)
In this fourth instalment of the enduring Toy Story series, Woody embarks on a road trip with a new friend – the bizarre yet hilarious ‘spork-turned-toy’, Forky! The result is more laughs, and a few more tears as the series reaches a dramatic turning point.

22) Onward (2020)
Directed by Dan Scanlon, Onward follows two elf siblings who set out on a quest to temporarily revive their deceased father. Set in a fantasy land, the movie is filled with action and adventure, and a voice cast that includes Tom Holland and Chris Pratt.

23) Soul (2020)
Pete Docter directs this wonderful fantasy drama about a music teacher and aspiring jazz musician, who attempts to regain his soul after an accident sends him to the Great Beyond. Soul is absolutely stunning to look at and features a fantastic soundtrack from Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Jon Batiste.

24) Luca (2021)
In this coming-of-age comedy, a young boy named Luca and his best friend share a secret – they are both sea monsters, and they need to keep this secret under wraps! Enrico Casarosa directs, while Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Maya Rudolph are amongst the cast.

25) Turning Red (2022)
In Turning Red, a young girl called Mei Lee, transforms into a red panda every time she gets excited! Domee Shi directs, while Sandra Oh provides the voice of Mei Lee.

26) Lightyear (2022)
Angus MacLane directs this tale about Buzz Lightyear – the inspirational astronaut behind the popular toy! Chris Evans takes the title role.

27) Elemental (2023)
Directed by Peter Sohn, Elemental is set in a city where elementals (fire, water, air, land) all live together. The movie follows two characters, who discover they have a lot in common.
