In 2001, Mattel’s iconic fashion doll, Barbie leapt from the toy shelves onto home video for the animated movie, Barbie in the Nutcracker. The film – loosely based on E. T. A. Hoffman’s The Nutcracker and the Mouse King – was popular with audiences and led to a follow-up.

This second movie, Barbie as Rapunzel, arrived in 2002, with a third film appearing in 2003, and a fourth in 2004. Each movie was a hit with audiences, and as the series continued it became an extremely successful run of animated movies.

But how many Barbie movies are there? Well, for the answer to that question and more, please read on.

In this post, I am presenting a list of all the Barbie movies, along with some additional information about the series.
