Today is the final day of San Diego Comic-Con 2019, and if the news and stories coming out of this year’s con are anything to go by, then 2020 is going to be an awesome year. Heck, yesterday’s news regarding Marvel’s Phase 4 was enough to get excited about, let alone everything else.

Anyway… unlike last year, when I posted various news updates regarding SDCC, this year I’ve decided to collect together all of the big news stories and trailers in one post. Read below for all the important stories you need to know.

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 news info burst:

  • It has been announced that Edward Furlong will reprise the role of John Connor for Terminator: Dark Fate.
  • NECA will continue its line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys with action figure based on classic console game, Turtles in Time.
  • Paramount Pictures has released a trailer for Top Gun: Maverick:
  • This October, Warner Bros. is to release Batman Beyond on Blu-ray.
  • Popular Netflix show, The Toys That Made Us is to get a spin-off show – The Movies That Made Us.
  • Hasbro has a wealth of new Marvel Legends figures on the horizon or 2020, including a line based around the Age of Apocalypse.
  • This year’s Arrowverse crossover will see Brandon Routh don a Superman costume. Former Robin star, Burt Ward will also feature in the crossover.
  • Shudder has dropped a trailer for Creepshow:
  • Universal Pictures has announced TWO new Halloween sequels. Halloween Kills arrives in 2020, with Halloween Ends coming in 2021. Jamie Lee Curtis will appear in both movies.
  • Mattel is to release a series of Masters of the Universe action figures based around the vintage line from the ’80s. A series of dolls will also be released, inspired by the new She-Ra cartoon, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
  • Netflix has released a trailer for The Witcher:
  • Marvel Comics is reviving its 2099 comics.
  • Disney’s DuckTales cartoon is set to feature many iconic Disney characters, including Goofy and Chip ‘n’ Dale.
  • The Russo Brothers will direct a movie based on Battle of the Planets.
  • Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new trailer for ‘IT’ Part 2:
  • The Walking Dead actress, Danai Gurira has confirmed she is leaving the show during its tenth season.
  • Universal Pictures has released a trailer for Cats:
  • Superman: Red Son is being turned into an animated movie.
  • CBS All Access & Amazon Prime have released a trailer for Picard:
  • And… Marvel Studios has announced its Phase 4 movie & TV line-up, which will include Blade, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and many more.

And all of that is just the tip of the iceberg from this year’s con. But it’s still a lot to get excited about.
