Bumblebee crosses $300 million mark

Transformers prequel, Bumblebee has crossed the $300 million mark at the worldwide box office.

According to Box Office Mojo, Bumblebee has accumulated $307,945,490 in box office receipts. However, the film is currently the lowest grossing live-action Transformers movie, despite pretty positive reviews.

Bugger.

The Punisher Season Two trailer

Netflix has released a new trailer for the second season of The Punisher. The new season will hit the streaming service on January 18th.

Marvel receives BAFTA Film nominations

The BAFTA 2019 shortlist has been revealed and three Marvel films are amongst this year’s nominations.

Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther have been shortlisted in the category of Best Special Visual Effects. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is up for Best Animated Film.

Black Panther star, Letitia Wright is also up for an award for her performance as Shuri. The actress is shortlisted for the EE Rising Star Award.

The BAFTA Film Awards take place on 10th February.

Glass receives mixed reviews

Glass has received mixed reviews.

The film has been given two stars from The Telegraph, three stars from Empire and four stars from Digital Spy.

The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy and Bruce Willis.

Glass hits UK cinema screens on Friday 18th January.

And finally, Netflix has released the first official trailer for Velvet Buzzsaw.

According to Netflix, “Velvet Buzzsaw is a thriller set in the contemporary art world scene of Los Angeles where big money artists and mega-collectors pay a high price when art collides with commerce.”

The movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Toni Collette and John Malkovich, amongst others.
