Jim Robinson is coming back to Neighbours.
The character – last seen on screen in 1993 – is set to return to the Aussie soap for a special one-off appearance. According to The Mirror, actor Alan Dale will reprise the role of the Robinson patriarch for the Christmas episode of Neighbours – the first ever episode of the soap to air on Christmas Day.
No word on how Jim will return – the character previously died from a heart attack – but presumably it is all part of a dream sequence. Either that or the residents of Ramsay Street have finally lost the plot.

When Jim does make his re-appearance, he will be sharing screen time with on-screen son, Paul – as played by actor, Stefan Dennis.
Speaking to The Mirror about the return, Dale said:
“How can I be back? I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise so I’m not going to say much except I was thrilled to be there! I am working with my dear old friend Stefan.
“It’s fun, I hope everyone’s going to enjoy it.”
Since leaving Neighbours, Alan Dale has had a very successful acting career, appearing in some of the biggest shows of the past 25 years, including The X-Files, The O.C., Dynasty, Once Upon a Time, NCIS, Lost and many, many more.
