Here’s today’s slice of geekdom…

December 3rd – On this day in 1996, Star Wars computer game, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire is released. Developed by LucasArts, the game is a third-person shooter set after the events of The Empire Strikes Back, but before the events of Return of the Jedi. The game allows the player to control a new Star Wars character, Dash Rendar who is created specifically for Shadows of the Empire. The game is part of the Shadows of the Empire collection, a multi-media offering (books, games and toys) that promises to be a ‘movie without a movie’.
