8:56pm – I’m here!

8:57pm – How is everyone doing? All set for Christmas? 😉

8:58pm – I’m joking! It’s November 18th – Christmas is a way off yet. Although, yesterday I did hear a Christmas song being played in a shop.

8:59pm – Just in case you were wondering, the song was Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin’ Stevens.

9:00pm – OK, enough about Christmas. Tonight’s episode of The Gifted is called iMprint. The episode is directed by Michael Goi.

9:01pm – It’s starting. And it’s time for a recap (as usual).

9:02pm – A little flashback with the Cuckoos. This should be good.

9:04pm – Andy is having way too much fun. Something is bound to go wrong.

9:05pm – He’s changed his hair! He’s gone all ’90s on us, with a centre parting!

9:06pm – Er… now the centre parting has gone. How bizarre.

9:10pm – Turner is trying to change the face of the Purifiers, making them look less like a hate group. Slippery slide there, Turner.

9:11pm – First ad break and… the Christmas Coca-Cola ad is on. I guess it is officially Christmas then.

9:12pm – Right, while countless Christmas adverts are filling up the ad break, let me take this opportunity to speak to you about Batman: The Animated Series. You may or may not have noticed that over the past two weeks I’ve been writing a series of blog posts all about the recent release of the Batman: The Animated Series Blu-ray boxset. If you’re a Bat-fan, you may want to check out these posts. I’ve published 15 to date, with more due over the coming week.

9:18pm – It’s week six and I feel like we should be getting a bit more information on Reeva. Who is she exactly? What drives her?

9:21pm – Reed is trying to get a hold on his powers…

9:22pm – …yeah, he needs more practise.

9:24pm – A little insight from Shatter, regarding his past.

9:26pm – Oh… years ago, when they were younger, the Cuckoos took over the minds of their human captors and made them turn their guns on themselves. They really are like the Midwich Cuckoos.

9:34pm – Turner – “We’re the good guys here, remember that.” Oh dear, how misguided.

9:36pm – Don’t piss off Polaris.

9:37pm – Or Reeva, for that matter.

9:39pm – Or Lauren!

9:44pm – Reed is about to use his powers. Let’s hope he doesn’t cock this up.

9:46pm – Is Shatter dead?

9:53pm – The revelation that there were originally five Cuckoos. In the comics, there were also five Cuckoos before two died.

9:54pm – This whole sequence gives a bit more depth to the Cuckoos and their reasons for joining Reeva.

9:55pm – I’m telling you, Turner is on a very dangerous path and I’m not sure this will end well. He’s one of the Purifiers whether he likes it or not.

9:57pm – A musical montage to end the episode, demonstrating where all the characters are emotionally.

9:58pm – Oh crap, Reed’s powers are going crazy. Not good.

9:59pm – A few more important insights, but I still feel like The Gifted is treading water a bit. Things really need to ramp up a gear now.

10pm – Thanks for joining me tonight. Same time next week?
