60 Days of Halloween continued this morning with a movie – Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985) – the fifth entry in the Friday the 13th series.
The reason for today’s choice?
Well, having watched a couple of Halloween movies recently, I was in the mood to watch an entry from the Friday the 13th series too. Scouting around on Netflix I discovered that currently only one of the 12 entries is available to stream – Part V.
For those who have never seen Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, the movie is set a number of years after the events of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984). With mass murderer, Jason Voorhees seemingly killed off in the previous movie, the central mystery of this entry is the question: Who is the killer currently dispatching teens under the guise of Jason?
I’m not going to tell you. You’ll have to watch it for yourself!
Anyway, I’m now in the tail-end of this year’s Halloween-a-thon and that means I’ve already eaten far too many sweet treats and I’ve seen a lot of horror movies in a very short space of time. Am I getting burn out?
I won’t be updating 60 Days of Halloween tomorrow, simply because the main event of Friday is a Halloween gathering (complete with costumes) which will take place in the evening. By the time things kick off I won’t have chance to update the blog, so instead I’ll be back on Saturday with a round-up of Fri/Sat (aka Days 55/56).
