60 Days of Halloween continued today with yet another double-bill, but this time the theme revolved around Christmas!
Yes, I know that tomorrow is officially the first day of autumn and Christmas is a way off yet, but whilst out and about earlier today I noticed that Sainsbury’s was selling mince pies. This wasn’t an isolated incident – ASDA are selling them too.
So, I used the mince pies as inspiration for today’s movie choices, which resulted in a back-to-back film fest this afternoon of Black Christmas (1974) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). One was a family-friendly Disney movie… the other was not.
I’ve seen The Nightmare Before Christmas more times than I care to think about. What’s not to love about that movie?
As for Black Christmas this was a first-time watch and… er… it was OK.
I’m aware that Black Christmas is considered a cult classic and I can see why some people like it, but the film didn’t quite do it for me. Still, I always welcome new material, so I’m glad that I’ve finally watched it.
Hmm… what will tomorrow bring?
60 Days of Halloween continues tomorrow…
