Taking to social media to unveil the new-look Joker from next year’s standalone Joker movie, director Todd Phillips posted a video showing Phoenix’s transformation from man to clown.

I didn’t love the Ledger Joker look the first time I saw it.
So, I’m willing to give this a chance to grow on me.

Yeah, I think that’s the best idea. Sometimes it’s a combination of look/performance that nails it. I’ve got a good feeling about this one.
