60 Days of Halloween continued this morning with an old favourite – Tim Burton’s Vincent (1982).

Vincent is a stop-motion short, written and directed by Burton when he worked as a conceptual artist for Walt Disney Productions. The short focuses on a young boy called Vincent Malloy and features narration by horror legend, Vincent Price.

I watch Vincent pretty much every Halloween, as not only is it a beautifully haunting tale, it’s also a whole heap of fun. The short is one of a growing collection of Halloween treats that I just love revisiting time-and-time again.

Vincent has never received an official, standalone release, instead it has only ever been included as a bonus extra with the special edition of A Nightmare Before Christmas. However, should you want to watch it (and you don’t own A Nightmare Before Christmas) the short is currently available on YouTube.
