September 10th – On this day in 1993, The X-Files makes it TV debut. The sci-fi show from Chris Carter becomes a cultural phenomenon and one of the defining shows of the 1990s. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson become household names as Agents Mulder and Scully, respectively.
