August 5th – On this day in 2000, English actor, Alec Guinness passes away. The actor, known for his successful career on stage and in films portrayed Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi In Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. In a statement, Star Wars creator, George Lucas says: “He was one of the most talented and respected actors of his generation and brought an amazing range and versatility to his work.”
