This week sees the arrival of Comic-Con International: San Diego – or San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) as it’s more commonly known. The four-day convention runs from Thursday 19th until Sunday 22nd July and is guaranteed to be the biggest geek event of the year.

Hey, I’m not foolin’ – SDCC is a huge annual platform for the biggest movies, TV shows, comic books and more. This year’s convention promises to be just as big as last year, which means you can expect a lot of geek-based news to be hitting the net this forthcoming weekend.

For example, should you want to see the new Aquaman trailer then you’re going to need to know this: The first official Aquaman trailer will be debuting this Saturday at SDCC!

In anticipation of the trailer’s launch, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment have just released a poster…

Aquaman won’t be the only trailer making its debut this weekend – rumour has it that we may get to see some footage of DC’s Shazam! and Wonder Woman 1984. Fingers firmly crossed for both of those.

Other trailers likely to drop this weekend include Glass, Godzilla: King of Monsters and if we’re lucky (and our hearts are pure) X-Men: Dark Phoenix. You should also expect TV trailers in the shape of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Black Lightning and all the usual suspects from the Arrowverse.

‘But wait’, I hear you cry, ‘how am I going to get to see all of this delicious geeky goodness?!’

Well, it’s pretty simple actually – I’ll be blogging about SDCC 2018 throughout the course of the weekend. All you need do is follow It’s A Stampede! and everything will be winging its way directly to you!

Hurrah!

So, are you SDCC 2018 ready? If you remember to follow It’s A Stampede! then yes, you are!

Oh and one final thing to coincide with SDCC 2018, Comixology has just launched a whole bunch of digital comic/graphic novel sales. There are more than 15 sales on the go right now featuring comics and graphic novels from the likes of Marvel, DC and Image.

My top pick? IDW’s sale is pretty sweet.

The publisher has a heap of books at discounted prices including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers, amongst others. If you want to load up on cheap books ahead of the big weekend, then head on over and fill ya boots!

Bring on the big geek weekend!
