Over the last few days, Chucky creator, Don Mancini has confirmed that a TV series based on the Chucky/Child’s Play films is officially happening. Hurrah!
What’s more, it’s strongly believed that the series will tie into the existing movie series. Double hurrah!
And speaking of the Chucky movies, which is the best entry in the series?
Let’s find out.
Here are all seven Chucky movies, ranked according to Rotten Tomatoes:
1) Curse of Chucky (2013) – 83%
2) Cult of Chucky (2017) – 82%
3) Child’s Play (1988) – 67%
4) The Bride of Chucky (1998) – 46%
5) Child’s Play 2 (1990) – 40%
6) The Seed of Chucky (2004) – 32%
7) Child’s Play 3 (1991) – 23%
As you can see from the list above, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the best Chucky movie is 2013’s Curse of Chucky, followed very closely by 2017’s Cult of Chucky. The least popular is Child’s Play 3.
Do you agree?
Personally, my favourite is Child’s Play 2 (1990), but I have a lot of time for both Child’s Play (1988) and Bride of Chucky (1998). I’d probably rank these higher than Curse and Cult, although I do like these movies too.
Seed and Child’s Play 3 are my least favourite entries, but I’d probably switch them around so that Seed is at the bottom of the list.
