It’s official – RuPaul’s Drag Race has been renewed for an 11th season.
Was there ever any doubt?
According to Variety, VH1 has given the green light for a new season of the long-running show, as well as given the go-ahead for a new season of companion show, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked.
Drag Race Executive Producer and star, RuPaul Charles, said: “After 10 sickening seasons, the Drag Race phenomenon is just getting started.”
VH1’s Senior VP of Original Programming and Development, Pamela Post, said: “We are thrilled that ‘Drag Race’ will continue to lead the conversation of inclusion and diversity as the show embarks on its eleventh season.” She added: “It’s unprecedented for a show to continue to grow on the scale that ‘Drag Race’ has, and it’s just the beginning.”
In the US, Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race concludes on VH1 on Thursday June 28th. In the UK the series ends its current run on Friday June 29th on Netflix.
