My train is late again. It must be Monday.
Why can’t it be Saturday? I don’t get trains on a Saturday. I much prefer Saturday.
Anyway, over the weekend I popped to the local cinema to watch Deadpool 2 – and what a delight it was. The movie was good, the action scenes were great – a lot of fun was had by all.
However, there was something which soured the event a little. Not a lot. But a little. And that pesky little problem was the spoiler-filled trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom that cropped up just before the main feature.
This trailer seemed to take all the footage I’d seen in the previous trailers, merged it all together and then formed one super, spoilerific trailer.
Now I love Jurassic Park/Jurassic World and I am very much looking forward to the new movie which arrives in the UK at the beginning of June, but I feel like I’m now seeing a little too much of the movie. I feel like the trailers that Universal Pictures are releasing are giving away too much of what happens throughout the course of the film.
I feel like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is on the brink of what I like to call ‘the Batman V Superman effect’, whereby all of the movie, including all the best scenes and the entire plot are condensed down into the two-minute trailer, thus negating the need to watch the film. Many movie studios are guilty for it, but Universal seems hellbent on making me see everything there is to see in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
When will it end? WHEN?!
I swear to Zod, there had best be some next level surprises in this movie, including a lot more input from Jeff Goldblum! If I’ve seen all of Goldblum’s scenes already I’ll be unimpressed.
*Shakes fist into the sky*
I feel better for getting that off my chest.
Now where was I? Oh yes, I’m waiting for my train.
I bet Jeff Goldblum doesn’t wait for trains. I bet he has his own train.
I wish I was Jeff Goldblum.
