It is a very strange time for TV fans at the moment – one day your favourite show gets cancelled and the next it gets revived. Or, that’s what has happened for fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine anyway (the same can not be said for fans other shows).
Amongst the mix of cancellations comes a revival or a reboot or both – to be honest, I’m a little unsure what to call it nowadays. Either way, The CW has given the go-ahead to revive Charmed.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Jane the Virgin writers Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin will take on the roles of both executive producers and writers for the forthcoming show, which will make its debut during the 2018/2019 TV season. There’s no news yet on whether this show will address the original run of Charmed, or whether it will be a complete reboot but we should know soon enough.
Oh and while we’re keeping track of TV shows, you may also like to know that The CW is reviving Roswell – another ’90s genre series. Meanwhile, over at ABC, Designated Survivor has been cancelled and the previously cancelled Tim Allen comedy, Last Man Standing has been revived!
Told you – it’s a strange time for TV fans.
