If the most pressing question you have today is ‘when will Krypton air in the UK?’, then good news – I have the answer!
Well, kind of.
The Superman-prequel series, which currently airs on Syfy in the US is coming to the UK later this year. According to Digital Spy, the series – set two generations before Krypton’s destruction – has been picked up by Channel 4 as part of a deal with Warner Bros International Television Distribution.
Not surprisingly, the series will air on E4 – the home to many genre shows, including Gotham and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Although no official broadcast date has been given yet, it’s likely to air once one (or both) of these shows has completed the current run.
Starring Cameron Cuffe, Krypton follows the story of Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather. Although the show is a prequel to the Superman mythology, the series does include classic DC characters such as Adam Strange and Brainiac.
