Jeez, this week has been brutal.

A few days ago, news broke that Fox had fired Clayne Crawford from Lethal Weapon – which made a lot of people angry/upset. Then last night/this morning news emerged that Fox had cancelled Brooklyn Nine-Nine – sending everyone into a foaming frenzy.

Well, brace yourselves because the bad news continues – Fox has now cancelled Lucifer.

After three seasons, the show is now more. It’s done. It’s over. Dead.

Or at least it is for now.

Taking to Twitter to break the news, lead actor, Tom Ellis, said:

“It has been the most amazing experience over the past 3 years playing Lucifer and falling in love with you, the fans. It fills me with great sadness to confirm the rumours that some of you have been asking. Fox has indeed cancelled #lucifer I’m so sorry guys. #gutted”

Ratings appear to be the reason for Lucifer‘s cancellation – the same reason for Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s demise.

These are also not the only cancellations from Fox. This week, Fox has also cancelled The Mick, The Last Man on Earth and The Exorcist.
