Morning, there’s an interesting bit of casting news circulating the net this morning, as it appears the oft-talked-about Spawn reboot may have found its lead star.

According to That Hash Tag Show, actor Jamie Foxx is up for the title role in the forthcoming Spawn movie. The actor – who played Electro in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – has reportedly been offered the part, although he’s yet to sign on the dotted line.

Blumhouse Productions will be behind the next Spawn movie, which is being described as more of a horror-thriller than the badly received – and very poor – 1997 Spawn movie. That movie starred Michael Jai White, Martin Sheen and John Leguizamo and…

…well, it’s best just to forget about it.
