Here’s today’s slice of geekdom…

April 30th – On this day in 1999, LucasArts releases the console game, Star Wars Episode I: Racer. The game – which is inspired by the Podrace scenes in The Phantom Menace – is released across multiple consoles, including Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and Game Boy Color. The game is met with fair reviews, with GameRankings awarding Star Wars Episode I: Racer a score of 75.78%.
