I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news regarding forthcoming Marvel movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Which do you want first?

How about we start with the good.

The good news is that Marvel Studios has just unveiled a new poster for Ant-Man and the Wasp which looks pretty swish.

The reason this poster has just made its debut is because a BRAND NEW Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer is set to make its debut tomorrow! Hurrah!

That’s like double good news, right?

So… now for the bad news. Well, bad news if you live in the UK.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is due to hit US cinemas on July 6th. Traditionally, here in the UK we get Marvel movies a couple of days (sometimes a week) before they open in the US. This will not be the case for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

In the UK, Ant-Man and the Wasp isn’t set to open in the UK until August 3rd – almost a month after it opens in the US (and pretty much everywhere else).

Why?

Three words: World Cup 2018.

Due to the popularity of the World Cup in the UK, Ant-Man and the Wasp has been slotted into an early August release, so not to clash with the games. Unless Marvel Studios/Disney have a change of heart (and it’s unlikely), we’ll have to wait a little longer for our next Marvel fix. Avoiding spoilers is going to be hard.

Hopefully tomorrow’s trailer won’t be awesome, and then we won’t mind so much. Or something like that.
