Dear diary,

I’m stood in the line at the cinema, waiting to pick up tickets for Brit-horror flick, Ghost Stories. This line does not seem to be moving.

Why is this line not moving?

Last night when I came here to watch Love, Simon the line moved. It moved slowly, but it moved.

Oh and last night’s screening of Love, Simon was awesome. Truly awesome.

What a well written, perfectly directed and carefully considered movie. I had a feeling I’d like it, based on my love for the book, but I didn’t think I’d like it quite so much.

While the film differs from the book in places, the changes work for the movie and do not detract from the story in any way. The John Hughes-vibe that runs through the film also enhances the experience and makes it a ready-made classic. Well done to director, Greg Berlanti – you nailed it!

The cast were superb, with Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel particular highlights as Simon’s parents. As for Simon actor, Nick Robinson, he’s most certainly someone to watch. Big things I tell ya. Big things.

Robinson’s portrayal of Simon Spier was spot on – SPOT ON – presenting an every man kind of hero that you couldn’t help to root for.

Big ticks all round.

Big, big, BIG ticks all round.

Isn’t life great?

Nothing is going to bring down my good mood today. Nothing. Absolutely nothing!

Hmm… why isn’t this line moving?! WHY?!

I hope the queue at the refreshment stand isn’t this long.

Why do bad things happen to good people?!
