The director for forthcoming Jurassic World sequel, Jurassic World 3 has been confirmed.

Colin Trevorrow will return to the franchise for the third entry in the JW series, as both the writer and director. The appointment was confirmed by director Steven Spielberg who broke the news during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Spielberg said: “Colin Trevorrow is going write and direct the third Jurassic World story,”

Yep, you don’t get any clearer than that.

Trevorrow previously co-wrote and directed Jurassic World (2015) and is a co-writer on the next entry in the series – Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), which hits cinema screens in June.

The as-yet-untitled Jurassic World 3 is currently scheduled for release in June 2021. The film is believed to be the concluding chapter in a Jurassic World trilogy.
