This weekend, Black Panther proved once again it is the most successful movie of 2018 – remaining at the top of the US charts for a fifth week.
The film – the 18th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – has now taken $605,027,218 in the US, with an overall worldwide take of $1,185,153,798. In terms of the all-time highest grossing movies, this places Black Panther in 14th position (and climbing).
In terms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther is now the fourth most successful entry in the MCU, having easily surpassed Captain America: Civil War (2016). The film is likely to overtake Iron Man 3 (2013) – the third most successful MCU movie – within the next couple of weeks.
